Comedy Writing is a practical, idea-driven class focused on helping you discover what you find funny - and how to turn that into clear premises, strong points of view, and well-crafted jokes. Whether you’re interested in stand-up, sketch, or satire, this class gives you tools you can apply across styles and formats.

 

You’ll learn how to:

• Identify strong premises and sharpen your point of view

• Write jokes with clear setups, punchlines, and tags

• Heighten ideas and find the funny angle in everyday observations

• Explore the fundamentals of satire - what it is and how it works

• Edit and rewrite material to make it clearer, tighter, and funnier

This class is ideal for anyone who wants to strengthen their comedic voice, write with intention, and better understand why jokes work - not just when they work.

 

*No previous writing experience required; curiosity and a sense of humor encouraged.
